about

For a fuller account of the album and its poets and musicians, please see:

Assembled in 1989 from recording-sessions at seven locations in the U.S. The whole album on cassette totaled 37 tracks and sold out within three months of its release in August 1989. Thanks to the many poets (Boadiba, Vernon Edgar, and peter plate are not represented here, but will be in the selection from the second Rebel Poets' album, America Fears The Drum, 1992)! Thanks to the many musicians and especially to the Suspect Many bands and to the engineers such as Jon Karr and Peter Eckart in San Francisco and Vito Ricci and Jon Mann in New York City!
