Family are gathered on Manitoulin Island in Lake Superior to remember
Rod Courtenay Hulme, my stepfather. The poem is my contributionfrom New Orleans. Maryse and I had great fun with Rod before he passed in Autumn 2017. Six and five decades earlier he was a most striving and generous "Dad" to me--Wellington boots high in the air as he tried for a catch in our Silver Beach Beachcombers games of 500. Above, a Manitoulin wide-shot and Rod on skates with my brothers Kenton and Kim.

The two GALLOP Trio tracks with Alex and Hamid we recorded in June 2018 during sessions to create soundtracks for Melissa Gregory Rue's fine documentaries "Esperanza's Turn" and "Live Out Loud!! They relate
California and Lake Tahoe in those 'Golden State' years 1956-1958.
